A Dutch customer, Van der Ende Steel Protectors Group BV, recently carried out a project of 4200 m2 internal tank blasting with our EBE-900VMB vertical steel blaster, used in combination with the 900DC dust collection with special waste handling system and standard rigging system.
Important note is that or customer, Van der Ende Steel Protectors Group BV, was able to reduce the abrasive consumption from 168.000 kg by normal conventional blasting, into 1.800 kg by using the EBE-900VMB systems.
The integrated endless winch system of the EBE-900VMB vertical steel blaster allows the operator to control the movement of both the rigging system and the vertical blast cleaning machine from a mobile control station located on the ground. From there, the operator has the perfect control over the blasting quality SAE 2.5, travel speed of the blasting, and a perfect view to ensure he performs the job adequately.
Our customer, Van der Ende Steel Protectors Group BV, is very satisfied with the machine compared to traditional open blasting. With vertical steel blasting, there is no abrasive left on the floor due to its closed-circuit principle. In addition, there is a dust free environment thanks to the powerful dust collection system connected to the machine, which helps to protect the environment of debris. Furthermore, steel blasting is much faster, cost effective, and safer than open blasting!
The productivity, handling, and operational part with this new equipment is significantly improved and costs are significantly reduced. It is an environmentally friendly method that drastically reduces project time, manual labor, downtime and disposals, and the CO2 exposure compared to open blasting.
