Between the 29th of June and the 7th of July 2019, the city of Poitiers (France) held one of the 35 World Tour Challenger of the 3×3 FIBA (International Federation of Basket Ball 3×3). This discipline is considered the number one urban team sport and became an Olympic discipline on June 9, 2017. It will integrate into the Olympics during the 2020 Tokyo Games.
For the 3rd year in a row, Poitiers welcomed the Euro Cup Qualifier. 8 teams have qualified for the main tournament that will take place in Romania. In total, 21 women & men’s teams from 18 different countries participated in this event to qualify for the final stage of the European Cup. The Czech Republic team won the women’s tournament and the Slovenian team from Piran won the men’s tournament.
To support this event, Blastrac set its trailer on the main square of the city to provide a dedicated VIP area with a nice roof terrace to watch the games.
